Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade
The Bruce Highway north of Rockhampton has been widened to 4 lanes from the intersection of Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road to Ramsay Creek.
The Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade, combined with the Bruce Highway Safety Package at Terranova Drive, has delivered the duplicated 4.9km of highway through the northern suburbs of Parkhurst and Glenlee.
The Bruce Highway is a strategic link for Queensland providing connectivity to coastal and regional towns from Brisbane to Cairns.
This section of Bruce Highway, north of Rockhampton, not only serves as the national highway but is also the only arterial road to service industrial, commercial and residential developments near Parkhurst.
The Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade addressed safety and capacity issues identified on the Bruce Highway 7km north of the centre of Rockhampton.
