Mohanlal is inflected by Alzeimer?s disease in off-beat director Blessy?s new film Thanmatra produced by Century Films who are making a comeback into production after 10 years.

Blessy is the most promising young director in Malayalam who gave that critically acclaimed Kazhcha which also won Mammootty many awards. Alzeimer?s disease is a disorder which causes mental deterioration in middle or old age (remember that Amitabh suffered from Alzeimer?s disease in Black).

Meera Vasudev is the heroine of Mohanlal. The film will also have two talented actors Nedumudi Venu and Jagathy Sreekumar and the film releases on December 16 for Christmas. Thanmatra says the story of Ramesan, a middle-class government officer living with his family in the government quarters.

His family includes wife and two teenage children. Nedumudi Venu plays the father of Ramesan who lives in the village. The officer is destined to a life within the confines of his home and office with limited dreams and ambitions. So, he feels this sense of loss and suffocation. The film deals with the relationship he has with his father as well as that with his children. Thus, it is also the story of three generations.

Kaithapuram has written the lyrics of the songs and the music director is Mohan Sithara. The cameraman is ?Sethu? Sriram. It is for the first time that 535- B camera with Moviecam lens- an advanced camera is being used to shoot a Malayalam film.
