Embassy of the United Arab Emirates Donates Various PPEs for the Philippines’ Response Efforts for COVID-19

(21 May 2020) - The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates donated seven (7) metric tonnes of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Philippine government to aid in our efforts for COVID-19. The items consisted of 500,000 surgical gloves, 20,000 face shields, 30,000 shoe covers, 6,000 hand sanitizers, and 5 pallets of wet wipes. Health Secretary Francisco Duque, assisted by Dir. Mar Wynn Bello from the Bureau of International Health Cooperation, attended the turnover ceremony last May 07, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Main Lobby, Ground Floor, Department of Foreign Affairs Building, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. The said event was led by Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin who received the donations from the UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Hamad Saeed Al Zaabi.
