The University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law has retained its accreditation with the American Bar Association.

The law school recently underwent an extensive review with the ABA's Accreditation Committee, and made a number of suggested changes, including improvements to the school's law library, the law school said in a statement.

The committee had also raised questions about the rearrangement of space, which was necessitated by an increase in programs and faculty members in a limited space.

“Though we desperately need more space and we have high hopes of finally getting started on our major renovation project, it has been great to see the immediate improvements made through the work of the space committee," law school Dean Avi Soifer said in a statement. “The work of the representatives of everyone in the law school community helped immeasurably in retaining our all-important ABA accreditation, as we were able to respond to all the concerns of the ABA committee."
