Town winger Marc Pugh has gone out on a month's emergency loan to fellow Coca Cola League 2 side Luton Town. The paper work was completed at 9:30am this morning and Marc is now eligable to play for Luton at the weekend.
Pugh hasn't featured much this season other than substitute appearances against Morecambe and against Exeter City in the Johnstone Paint Trophy. He has shown in the reserves what he is capable of and weighed in with two goals in the reserves last outing.
Town manager Paul Simpson revealed the news to ShrewsWeb this afternoon and hopes the loan will be good for Pughey: "We had an opportunity for Marc Pugh to go out on loan to Luton on an emergency loan.
"They need players and Pughey needs to get games so I felt the move was right for everybody.
"Pughey is getting frustrated as he's not involved at the moment so the change of scenery will do him the world of good.
"Hopefully he will get a month of football and then we will see at the end of that month whether or not he's ready to come back and do a job for us."
On paper it looks a good move for Pugh to go out to another League 2 side. It should give him some first team games and will hopefully return to Town ready to push: "He's going to a club in League 2 who have got a hell of a fight on their hands because of the point's deduction.
"We don't play Luton in this month and hopefully Pughey will go there and do a job to help nick points off other sides.
"The main thing is that if all goes to plan he will get some first team football and he will come back to us better for that."
