BIOGRAPHY - Mayor Joseph P. Sulzer

Served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, 1966-68

Earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University

Awarded a Law Degree from Capital University

Served on Chillicothe City Council for 6 yrs., Finance Chair for 4 yrs.

Previously served as Mayor of Chillicothe for 9 years, 1988-1996

Served as State Representative for the 91st House District, 1997-2002

Re-elected as Mayor of Chillicothe in November 2003, Served full four-year term, 2004-2007

Re-elected again as Mayor of Chillicothe in November 2007.  Current term expires in December 2011

Serves on various boards and commissions and is involved in many community organizations
