PYREX Flameware |
Here is large assortment of vintage Pyrex coffee pots, flameware teapots, and flameware saucepans and double boilers. We have opened a Pyrex Museum. It is filled with pre-WWII pieces (1915-1945) that you rarely see. Enjoy it, and maybe even buy something from it! We wanted everyone to be able to see some HTF piece of Pyrex. FLAMEWARE glassware was produced from 1936 - 1979. It is distinguished from crystal glassware by the blue tint that it has, caused by the addition of alumino-sulfate in the production process. Our address: [email protected] If you want to place an order, please be specific about the item description. If you want to ask a question, ask freely. We will try to answer to the best of our ability. If something is "on hold", that probably means that someone has expressed interest, but it is not yet sold. Internet sales, including determining shipping, etc, usually take us a few days, including a few e-mails with our customers. If you see something that is "on hold", feel free to ask us about the availability. We have had people say they want an item, and later change their mind. New for the Holidays: We have introduced a kitchen mixer page with vintage mixers that have been refurbished by George and are now for sale. These pieces are a perfect match for your kitchen that contains vintage Pyrex pieces. Take a look and enjoy: Mixers in the Attic |

Corning Glass didn't expect you to only use Flameware Percolators for coffee!! This picture from the 1953 edition of Pyrex Prize Recipes shows them being used for cooking corn, yams, spaghetti, pasta sauce asparagus, etc.!!! |
Flameware Percolators - Part I The "Older" models Here are the earliest of the Pyrex Percolators. These were produced from 1938-52. The still make excellent coffee. If you want a vintage, and original, Pyrex percolator, you will find it here. These older models are interesting because Corning was not as 'organized' as when the later models came out (below). Thus, much of the numbering and the variety of different parts makes for good collecting. Notice that all of the pots here have different handles!! |
#7826 Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot (#7826) - This unique percolator has a dark brown handle. This handle makes it almost "unique" among Pyrex percolators. These were produced during the end of the 7826 run. This was produced until 1952 - it's 50 years old and in immaculate shape! | $37.99 |
#7826(??) Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This looks like a #7826, but is unnumbered on the bottom. Above the Pyrex logo it says "A - D", and below is an "X". It may be the result of an experiment!! The band is the snap-on type that makes cleaning easy, and is brushed aluminum. | $37.99 |
#7826(??) Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This looks like a #7826, but is unnumbered on the bottom. Above the Pyrex logo it says "A - 3", and below is an "X". It may be the result of an experiment!! The band is the snap-on type that makes cleaning easy, and is bright aluminum. | $37.99 |
#8406(??) Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - The bottom is simply marked A - 4, but the stem has the number on it. It has an older straight glass handle and a gunmetal blue band. One small chip on the inside of the top. Older band and handle with a newer top!! Who knows where this pot has been .... | $37.99 |
#8406/#7826(??) Pyrex 6 cup coffee pot - This is another of those that is unmarked on the bottom. It might have had a number, but the green bottom stamp is not all there. So ... here it is: Nice old 6 cup with an older, straight handle and an old style top. Nice aluminum band and this is in excellent condition - a verynice piece. | $37.99 |
#7759 on the stove in the morning.
Flameware Percolators - Part II The "Newer" models Here are the more "modern" percolators. These were produced from the early 50s to the mid 60s. They differ from the older models in the shape of the body and handle. They still make the same excellent coffee that the older models make. A close friend of ours purchased a 6 cup from us, and in addition to making wonderful morning coffee he boils his eggs in the percolator at the same time!! He says that they come out brown, but taste great. His pot does double-duty in the morning. Be sure to see the 1950s ads on this page to find out how many things you can do with your new coffee pot besides making great coffee. |
