Contributions to "Castle of Frankenstein" Castle of Frankenstein was published from 1962 to 1975 on an irregular schedule that was sometimes quarterly. My research findings so far prove Barry contributed to the magazine from 1966 to 1971 usually by letter or telephone as he lived in L.A. at that time while CoF was published in New Jersey. I have been able to establish Barry initially submitted his "Necrology" items under a pseudonym because he didn't want to create a conflict with material he had sent to rival publications. Barry contributed his Necrology to the 1967 'Fearbook' using the pseudonym 'John Trasterson' Research ongoing with this publication

This piece of memorabilia connects Bruno Ve Sota, the late veteran actor and director of Invasion of the Star Creatures to Barry. The scrap of paper has Bruno's bold print with instructions for photographs to be delivered to Barry's home address, including his telephone number (possibly 1975). Barry greatly admired Bruno whom he interviewed for a proposed article "It's VeSota" (published in the late '80s). Barry delivered an actors' eulogy at his funeral. (Thanks to Bruno's daughter, Grace) Please also visit my website to Bruno Ve Sota |
