SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 23, 2006 - Today JMP Productions announced that veteran video game composer Hitoshi Sakimoto is going to attend the PLAY! A Video Game Symphony concert on July 12, 2006, in Detroit at the Orchestra Hall. His past work includes music for game titles such as Vagrant Story, Stella Deus and Final Fantasy XII. The PLAY! concert in Detroit is going to feature an exclusive suite of music written by Hitoshi Sakimoto, to be announced at a later time.
Since the 1980s, Hitoshi Sakimoto has been involved in the audio portion of video games. His music for the classic Final Fantasy Tactics made him a well-known name outside Japan. In 2003 he was introduced as the main composer of Final Fantasy XII, marking his biggest project to date.

We intend to create a show that will evolve. This is just one more reason to come and be a part of history in the making.".
