There are several waterfalls in Norway called Rjukanfossen, this is the most famous. The falls have a cumulative 780 foot drop, with a sheer plunge of 410 feet. We're unsure how much of the rest of the falls are cascades or more vertical. This waterfall has been harnessed for hydroelectric purposes and most likely has a reduced flow for part of the year, possibly running dry at times. |
