Many times we find ourselves insulting, despising or just plain neglecting someone who has a different view of yours about the government and politics in general. Many people tend to cast out objections and challenges someone might bring to their point of view. People have a fixed idea on certain kinds of group, meaning if you are part of it you will be associated as such, generalizing is a lazy excuse, and all people have a right to be heard and respected even if their point of view (politically) is polar opposite of yours. This results in a failed effort of communication and understanding, and at the end to ignore and hate that person. It is absurd to have that way of thinking, a person might be the friendliest and most reasonable individual but just for the fact he/she doesn't share your fixed point of views, you mock and then forget about said individual. Superficiality rains over men and women's lives, judging not who that person really is but if he/she is part of your social/political group or not. The lines are clearly drown in many cases, having rational and logical communication thrown away for biased opinions and the influence of "the mass". It seems today that people do not understand or ignore the difference between an immigrant and a refugee. For this reason people tend to associate both terms together. The main difference is quite simple, being forced or not. An immigrant is someone who comes live for substantial amount of time in a foreign country, they have chosen to go live to said country because he or she wants to. On the other hand refugees are forced to leave their countries in order to escape war, persecution or a natural disaster. But why are natives of the countries angry at these long lasting visitors?
