Re: Phil's Fabia vRS
Haha! My budget would be around the 5k mark. A mate picked up an awesome vRS for 4.5, so I have hope
Re: Phil's Fabia vRS
Looking good, I have been thinking about getting rid of the Polo for a Fabia the last few weeks.
Just been reading Golf+ and spotted you in it.

Re: Phil's Fabia vRS
Well I’ve got a few updates to share with you
Since having the BBS wheels and selling them I have got myself a set of ROTA G-Force wheels. They are 17” 8j et35 and I plan on getting them refurbished in white and get some Yoko Parada Spec 2 tyres put on them.
I ordered a new part for the car too, can you guess what it is?
Well it’s a PD150 hybrid turbo. (MD376 Stage 2)
I also bought a full Milltek exhaust with a de-cat and back box.
No pictures of this a it just looks exactly the same as the old system just bigger bore pipe and a bit quieter.
The car was coming up to 62k so thought I better have the cam belt changed so used this as an excuse to have the turbo fitted and a full service and get it running spot on.
Oil all over and turbo out ha ha
Old turbo next to the new one, notice how we had to clock the compressor housing 90* for it to fit.
Had the car mapped for the new turbo and drove steady (ish) for 500 miles.
As far as power goes this is me done with the car now as I still use it daily doing about 70 miles a day, so cant afford to be making it faster etc. Maybe in the future I’ll add water/meth injection for fuelling and cooling.
Seen as the car had done nearly 64k the seats were getting a bit grubby and the mats were showing signs of wear, so I borrowed a wet-vac and cracked on with giving them a good clean.
No pics of the seats as they were embarrassingly filthy, but you get the point with the mats.
before
after
I ran for a week or so with no interior whilst I had the seats out cleaning them, to say there was nothing in the back it rattled like a b***h. It felt a bit quicker but really twitchy on bouncy fast corners.
Attended the www.tdisport.com rolling road day and I managed to get 226bhp so a few more than when first mapped, but admittedly it was a warmer day so maybe I could be running 230bhp? Haha
Chris had real problems trying to keep my car on the rollers because it was so low we needed to jack it up and put wood under it so it was wheel spinning and pulling its self off the rollers. Some fun videos of this:

Love my sticker which is shown as the end of this video

In the end we had two of us sat on the engine bay to get some traction
A full run with no wheelspin.

Few more pictures of my car stolen from the rolling road day.
And once we got to the Peak District

Looking great mate!
Loving the power figures you've achieved. What's she like for fuel?
