Actor Rohit Purohit was suddenly dropped from Sanskaar Laxmi like a hot potato and another track with actor Shakti Arora was created. However, the serial, despite new twists and turns, failed to rake in the TRPs and went off air early this month.
Ask Rohit about it and he says, “Firstly, I want to set record straight by saying that I was not replaced by anyone.My track was supposed to be like that and I knew it from the beginning. There was never any confusion about my role. As for the TRPs having gone down I can only say that if there are so many changes that are made in the script, the audiences cannot digest it and this was bound to happen.” He surely has a point. Work apart, on the personal front, Rohit’s in a happy space. He is dating his co-actor Veebha Anand, who played his wife in Sanskaar....
For a long time, the two maintained that they were just good friends, but now slowly they have started opening up about their relationship. “We started dating while we were shooting together but didn’t come out in open because it was like a testing time for both of us. I enjoy being with her and feel completely at ease when she’s around,” smiles the actor.
