Annual inflation in Russia up to 9.32% in week ended December 9 from 9.07% — ministry

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia sped up to 9.32% from December 3 to 9 from 9.07% in the previous week, the Economic Development Ministry reported.

"During the week from December 3 to 9, 2024 inflation on the consumer market slowed down to 0.48%. In the food sector price growth rates amounted to 0.76% in the reporting week <…>. In the non-food segment the price dynamics equaled 0.51% in the reporting week," the report said.

"In the services sector, prices for hotel services continued falling. As of December 9, annual inflation amounted to 9.32%, the ministry said.

According to the macroeconomic forecast published by the ministry this September, Russia’s inflation outlook for 2024 has been adjusted from 5.1% expected earlier to 7.3%.
