Received the game from Humble Choice (so one might say for free/with huge discount) but I can't recommend buying it for nearly 15€. It's an interesting concept with great actors who really "sell" the story, which unfortunately lasts only for the first 40 minutes. After that, you realize the clues are kinda random and it gets repetitive, even boring to the point where the skip button becomes your best friend (if you want all the achievement that is).

Get it on sale if you like the game genre.

An artistic game, where you walk in a forest and pick flowers to progress. The story is very abstract and short (30 to max. 45 minutes gameplay), but immensely well narrated together with (3D) ambient sound and music (I recommend subtitles so you don't miss the story). Combine that with simple yet charming drawn graphics and the result is calming and thoughtful experience. As some people mentioned, 30 minutes for 4€ might seem like a lot and the truth is I received this game from Humble Bundle. However I still believe it's worth the buy because of the unforeseen and pleasant ending + with every download of the game one tree is planted.

I believe to assess this DLC honestly, both multiplayer and singleplayer use should be evaluated (TL;DR at the end). So let's get down to it:

Multiplayer use:
I personally don't play MP too much, but I follow the pro scene thoroughly, at least since the release of this DLC. So out of 3 new civs, Gurjaras are definitely strongest and most flexible (although nerfed already), whereas Bengalis and Dravidians are more niche and feel a bit lackluster with their options and tactics (lacking a lot in stable specifically). Therefore they are viable only on/with certain maps/specific strategies (water/hybrid/Bengalis on arena are nuts) and I can't really imagine them in high elo teamgames. So don't expect to buy the DLC and storm down your oponents with the new civs (except Gurjaras that is) and elephants, they are just not fully in the meta right now.

Singleplayer (Campaigns) use:
This is where the DLC shines imo, all 3 campaings were very well thought-out, enjoyable and a bit challenging at the same time (and finally you can utilize elephants against AI yay!). They are not repetitive and also different from older campaigns, together with achievements and various paths to victory in some missions makes the replayability more meaningful and worthwhile. Narration, soundtrack and artwork are likewise great and truly fitting. My only wish is that these campaigns are made for coop play in the future with adjusted difficulty (and some missions) for 2 players. Hopefully the devs are listening to feedback and community :)

Honorable mention:
With the introduction of Dynasties of India, former Indians were revised to Hindustanis completely free for everyone. That came with some major changes as well as the original Prithviraj campaign is now played as Gurjaras (and Babur campaign is played as Hindustanis).

TL;DR:
New civs won't impress much in MP (except Gurjaras), campaigns are well designed, fun to play and also challenging, you get 3 new civilizations for the price of 2 (compared to other DLCs), Indians were reworked to Hindustanis for free (major change), you can still get this DLC at discount during main steam sales.

100% worth the buy for me
