With the server issues finally fixed, I can say that the game's in a pretty good state. The moment-to-moment gameplay is super solid, just hoping for a fix of the sub-par infamy level system.

This game encompasses many of the Rogue-like qualities that are pinned to it, and really gives that experience of omnipotence. One minute you're slowly toiling away through a few enemies and the next you're doing as you please with hordes all around you. A must buy for anyone into the 2D 16-bit aesthetic and progression that isn't impeded by permanent death.
