Lethal Company

Worth playing alone or nah
I get that singleplayer would probably not be enjoyable. I'm on the fence for buying the game, but I usually don't have friends to play with. Is joining random lobbies recommended?

If you get to one, Yeah most of the time. like 3% of the random pubs are joinable. So you most likely would need to join the official game's discord to get a preparty. I have spend up to 40 mins trying to get into a lobby excluding the insta-kick ones, griefed, extreme min-maxxers and host dies is insta reset

Oof, that doesn't sound great. However, this proved I still believe the game is good because I'm gonna go ahead and buy it anyway. Thanks for telling me stuff tho, and honestly most random lobbies in games are the same

Singleplayer is alright but it's not supported so it isn't worth it unless you want to put yourself up for a challenge. There are tons of public lobbies you can join though most are modded so you'll probably have "An error occurred" every now and again, other than the usual online gimmicks that have griefing, insta-kicking, etc. it's still better to join random lobbies. You're more likely to find chill people anyway, at least in my experience. If you're uncertain then you can just join the official Discord, other random Discords or search for some players on the forums to game with.

I tried a little bit, and I found out hosting games gets a lot of players really fast. Although they might quit halfway or whatever, there were some chill dudes
this game is not worth playing solo, you'll have to find people to play with, if you don't have a mic and try to play in random lobbies without friends already I wouldn't buy it.

Best bet is to play with friends, public lobbies are often a disaster
Solo: a suspenseful and stressful game that keeps you on your toes. Best played if you're looking to be unnerved or scared.
Multiplayer: a hilarious and slightly suspenseful game, with the occasional scare often overshadowed by someone stepping on a landmine.

Honestly most people just quit after walking around a bit for some reason

I mostly play the game solo and it can be enjoyable once you've understand the monster mechanics. I can reach 2k quota alone if that's worth mentioning as an achievement. I play in a group from time to time, but only when have a schedule for a play session.

I think my motivation to play it solo was because I started playing the game in a group and had a lot of fun. Then I wanted to play more but since it's difficult to group up with friends, I play it solo.

What about the time limit? Doesn't the ship leave at 12am or something? Solo is probably hella hard, but I mean you did it so hmm maybe

Solo is doable for the first few quotas, after which it becomes a bit more tricky and you'd want to quit the lobby as soon as the ship leaves without you went you die or run out of time, because it won't save until you're in orbit

Quitting before it autosaves allows you to keep your stuff you had before the last moon run so you don't get wiped at least

You have to vet people initially to weed out the kind of energy you don't want in your lobby but every now and then you meet really nice people. My list of friends have grown like crazy and time flies by when you enjoy your company so please don't be discouraged :)

Well, if I ever end up playing solo I'll keep that in mind. But so far I've been getting players now and then.
