Stefan, Paul, 1879-1943
Variant namesJella von Braun-Fernwald was a singer and the wife of Paul Stefan; they married in 1940. Paul and Jella fled Vienna together in 1938, going first to Switzerland and later to France, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1941.

Gabriele ("Jella") von Braun-Fernwald was a singer and Paul Stefan's wife. Paul and Yella had been friends of Alma Mahler and Franz Werfel in Vienna; they emigrated to Switzerland in 1938 and to the U.S. in 1941.
