Before Getting Started
Ensure you have a valid lifetime license, which can be accessed through Kanji's Discord as referenced in the Repo. Additionally, you need to be in possession of the 
role on Discord.
Tutorial : ESign / TrollStore method
ESign or TrollStore required
This tutorial is designed for TrollStore users and individuals who do not have jailbroken devices (Cert users). Note that, even though iota is compatible with jailbroken devices, ESign is still a requirement for non-TrollStore and unjailbroken devices, as this method is one of the limited options available for such users. Get ESign here
Begin with Step 7 for TrollStore users. (Install and open Snapchat, then click "Log in")
Avoid the installation of Snapchat Iota through Sideloadly.
- Download, Install and Open ESign: Consider using Sideloadly.

Please note that if you do not have a computer to install ESign on your phone, you will need to follow these advanced steps before proceeding to the second one:
- On your phone, open this link or 2 using safari → Upload the ESign ipa file on the "Choose an .ipa file.." field → Choose your certificate or obtain a free one here
- Unzip the certificate folder → Upload the .p12 file on the "Choose an .p12 file.." field → Enter its password (The password from AppleP12's free certificates is : AppleP12.com)
- Upload the .mobileprovision file on the "Choose an .mobileprovision file.." field → Write "ESign" on the "Enter new bundle indentifier" field → Click on "Sign it now !"
- At the "Step 4 : Install application" → Click on the link below "Copy & send link to your testers" → After redirection → Click on "Install Now!"
If you are unable to open ESign, please refer to the FAQs for possible reasons and fixes.
- Import the Latest IPA Release:
- You can import it directly from the latest IPA release from the repo or through Kanji's Discord.
- Alternatively, import from the repo: AppStore → App Source → "+" → Paste this link.
- Click on Snapchatiota-X-X.ipa / iota_X.ipa and select "Import App Library."
- Navigate to Apps → Click on Snapchat → Signature.
- Choose your certificate or obtain a free one here / paid one from the FAQs.
- Scroll down, check "Remove mobileprovision after signing," and click "Signature."
- Install and open Snapchat, then click "Log in" ← TrollStore users start here!
- A verification message will prompt you to enter your Discord's ID (necessary to verify your "iota purchase" role from the Discord server):
- Open Discord, go to Advanced → Developer Mode → Enable.
- Click on your Discord profile from any server/conversation, click on the three dots in the top right corner of your profile → Copy User ID → Return to Snapchat → Paste it into the empty field → Enter.
- Copy the temporary code provided into the Discord server as your server nickname:
- Open Discord, click on your Discord profile on the server, click on → Edit Server Profile → Paste the given code into the Server nickname field.
- Repeat Step 8, then click "Log in" → Success Message (the temporary code should automatically remove itself).
Using a modified version of Snapchat undoubtedly involves inherent risks, and users must exercise caution and be accountable for any potential consequences.
Known issues
Consistently crashes on startup or sporadically when accessing chat menu affecting TrollStore and Certs users.
Possible fix: Turning off "Experimental Features" on iota's "Snapchat Options"
FAQs
Why am I not receiving any notifications from Snapchat? Why do I only see badge notifications?
This issue is unrelated to iota and is likely caused by a certificate problem. It mostly occurs when using a free certificate or when signing with a PC. You can obtain your own certificate from MapleSign, App Testers, Signulous or AppleP12.com.
Do Snapchat+ features work?
After testing, all features work except for the following:
- App Icon (Trollstore/Sideloadly only)
- Post View Emoji
- Pin #1 Best Friend
- Snapchat+ Badge
- Custom Notification Sounds (Trollstore/Jailbroken devices only)
- Premium profile backgrounds
- Gift Snapchat+
Be cautious, as most server-sided features actually work.
Why do most sent snaps appear as 'Failed to load' even when the 'Keep Snaps' feature is enabled?
This is not an iota issue, it's more likely a server-side matter, as those snaps aren't intended to be visible in the first place.
Why does Snapchat crash/fail to open after X redirection.
This is not specific to Snapchat/iota. Redirection are known to be suppported for both Trollstore users and when signed using Sideloadly. However, due to a missing entitlement, this exclusively affects ESign/Certificate users.
I am unable to open the app after signing for X reason.
- This is a 100% blacklist/revocation issue. Either way, this happens after signing the first app with a certificate with mobile provision removed. The fix would be to sign a random app with the "Remove mobile provision" unchecked and then install iota alongside this tutorial.
- The application did not receive manual approval. To establish trust for its developer, follow these steps on your phone: Go to your phone’s Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → Click on the name of the developer profile under the “Enterprise App” → Click on “Trust (Developer Name)”
Can I update over my existing iota version using TrollStore?
- Absolutely! In fact, updating this way is the best method, as it won't log you out or restart iota's Discord role verification.
