Being Cary Grant
Cary Grant seemingly had it all.
He was the type of man everyone wanted to be, starring in Hitchcock films alongside beautiful women such as Eve Marie Saint, Ingrid Bergman, and Princess Grace Kelly.
He was always dressed in custom Italian suits, drove a fancy sports car, and vacationed in Monaco.
He had a debonair demeanor, and every hair seemingly laid perfectly in place. Just about every man wished he could be like Grant and every woman wished she could be with him. Despite having passed away decades ago, he remains an icon for style with his own line of Oliver Peoples sunglasses.
Grant once stated, “Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. Even I want to be Cary Grant.”
However, after his daughter was born, he quit the film industry and stated, “My life changed the day Jennifer was born. I've come to think that the reason we're put on this earth is to procreate. To leave something behind. Not films, because you know that I don't think my films will last very long once I'm gone. But another human being. That's what's important.”
He experienced the highs of life, but learned what matters most even the layperson can achieve.
