Karolina Glusiec is an animation filmmaker artist currently living in California.Originally from Poland, graduated from Royal College of Art Animation Course in 2012.In her practice creates images and sequences inspired by music, everyday life, memories and randomness.Working closely with musicians from all over the world, supporting the diy and experimental music scene. Teaching drawing and animation since 2012 - at universities, schools, community centers, social support institutions. Lecturer and a volunteer. Collaborator. Since 2016 working as a live visual artist at music performances and concerts using both digital and alas projection techniques.Her films have been presented at festivals and galleries all over the world including National Gallery in Washington DC and Jerwood Space in London, England.She is a winner of 52nd Ann Arbor Film Festival in the animation category, 2012 Overall Jerwood Drawing Prize winner and Vienna Independent Shorts Festival Award for the best female filmmaker.Currently completing an animation film triptych: “The instrument / The fool / The landscape” on which she’s been working since 2014.Her interests include researching on ways of seeing and interaction of memory / life / images and devices which she wishes to expand through PhD Academic research.Instagram work/life visual diary: @karolina.glusiecVimeo page including music video work: www.vimeo.com/karolinaglusiec
