Definitions

  • This invention relates generally to a type of building product mixing system .
  • Certain building materials such as adhesives and renders, are supplied in powder form, which requires mixing with water. These products are typically packaged in 20 kg bags for commercial use. Once mixed, these products have a relatively brief usable period, often 40 minutes or less, necessitating on-site batch mixing.
  • the mixing process usually involves a bucket and a mixing tool, which features a shaft with a mixing head, often spiralled, at its distal end, and a connection to a power tool at the proximal end. Due to their higher viscosity compared to other substances like paint, adhesives and renders demand a more potent mixing tool, for example, a 2 kW electric drill.
  • the present disclosure provides a mixing system designed to enhance safety and efficiency in mixing operations, especially suited for use with viscous materials such as adhesives and renders.
  • the system comprises a mixing container equipped with a specifically designed locking interface at its base, and a complementary base platform featuring a corresponding locking interface. This design ensures that, once the mixing container is positioned atop the base platform, it engages in a non-rotatable lock, effectively preventing unwanted movement during the mixing process.
  • the base platform includes a standing region where the user can stand, anchoring the system securely to the ground.
  • the system may be engineered to accommodate substantial product weights, such as up to 27 kg, within the mixing container, ensuring that the container remains firmly interlocked with the base platform throughout the mixing operation.
  • This system addresses and mitigates common challenges and hazards associated with mixing operations, providing a safer and more efficient solution.
