Abstract
Provided are an input device which utilizes the riding action of a player on or off a footstep and which detects the ride of the player on the footstep no matter which portion of the footstep the player may stamp on, so that it can input accordingly, and its correlated technologies. An input device (1) comprises a footstep (11) for the player to ride on or off, and pressure switches (PL1, PL2, PR1 and PR2) arranged between the footstep (11) and a first mat (36), for detecting the load applied to the footstep (11) thereby to output a detection signal. On the basis of the change in the detection signal, a processor (31) connected with the input device (1) decides the stamping manner of the footstep (11) by the player, thereby to decide the input desired by the player.
