Abstract
A small diameter rolling ball bearing which can take a wide tolerance range for misalignment, can prolong the bearing life by suppressing damage to the bearing in the early stage, and is employed in such a device that bearing fixing error cannot be reduced due to the structure of a device such as a business machine. A fixing device employing it is also provided. A plurality of balls (4) are arranged between the tracks of an inner ring (2) and an outer ring (3) formed of bearing steel, respectively, the inner ring is fitted to a shaft of a single diameter, the inner diameter surface of the inner ring has a convex spherical shape along the axial direction and its cross-section in the axial direction has a single arcuate shape, and the radius of the arc is 0.5-50 times the diameter of the ball (4). In such a small diameter rolling ball bearing, the gap between the inner and outer rings is filled with grease (7), and the inner ring has the inside diameter of 4-50 mm, the shaft of the rotary member in the fixing device being supported by this bearing.
