Description

DISPOSITIF DE BRANCHEMENT D'UNE TETE DE NETTOYAGE DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A CLEANING HEAD
PAR ASPIRATION DU FOND D'UNE PISCINEBY SUCTION FROM THE BOTTOM OF A POOL
The present invention relates to the cleaning of swimming pool bottoms using cleaning heads, such as a broom or an automatic device called a robot, operating by suction of water. In this type of cleaner, the cleaning head is connected by a flexible pipe to a water suction circuit creating between the head and the wall of the pool (bottom or side walls) a vacuum aspirating the particles and debris to be evacuated which are driven through the head, then the pipe, to a water recycling circuit after filtration of particles and various debris.
The water suction circuit of such cleaning devices is in fact constituted by the pool suction circuit. The connection to the suction circuit of the swimming pool of the floating pipe at the end of which is connected the broom or the robot, has several disadvantages.
It is difficult to initiate the circulation of water in the system due to the presence of air in the floating pipe which deactivates the pump of the recycling circuit in the pool of water sucked by the suction device.
In addition, there is a entrainment of deposits (sand, gravel, hair, insects, ...) to the pump and leaves to the skimmer recovery baskets or to the pump pre-filter. However, these baskets have a limited capacity and must sometimes be emptied during cleaning to restore sufficient suction.
In addition, it is necessary to wash the dirty main filter at the end of the operation, which results in loss of water.
Some automatic devices cause jolts due to the sudden closing of the suction circuit, which can occur several times a minute and damage the pump. In continuous operation, for example in the event of prolonged absence of the user of the swimming pool, automatic devices risk clogging the pre-filters or the main filter, causing a risk of cavitation and damage to the pump. Finally, these automatic devices reduce and sometimes even, depending on the power of the pump, remove the suction on the surface which is intended to sweep the water level of the swimming pool to remove surface pollution.
Document US-A-5 238 585 discloses a device for connecting a cleaning head by suction from the bottom of a bubble bath or spa, to a discharge mouth of the latter, comprising a nozzle. water ejection provided, on the upstream side, with rapid connection means on said discharge mouth and connected in a removable manner to a flexible pipe for connection to said cleaning head and a receptacle for particles and various debris sucked up. However, said flexible hose is simply connected at 90 ° to the outlet flow from the discharge mouth and to the outlet of the nozzle, so that the suction effect is not very effective. It should also be noted that this device is specially and only intended for spas, that is to say systems of reduced dimensions and not for swimming pools, precisely because of their reduced power and performance. Such a device would in particular be incapable of being connected to an automatic cleaning device of the robot type.
The present invention aims to remedy these various drawbacks by proposing a device for connecting the cleaning head of the devices mentioned above, allowing a much more efficient recovery of deposits and debris. various.
To this end, the invention relates to a device for connecting a cleaning head by suction from the bottom of a swimming pool, to a discharge mouth of the latter, comprising a water ejection nozzle provided, on the side upstream, quick connection means on said delivery mouth and removably connected to a flexible pipe connecting to said cleaning head and a receptacle for particles and various debris sucked in, characterized in that said flexible pipe is connected to said nozzle by a duct enveloping the downstream part of the nozzle and defining immediately downstream of the nozzle nozzle a venturi type diffuser coaxial with the flow of water ejected by the nozzle, said receptacle being mounted at the downstream end of said diffuser. According to a preferred embodiment, said nozzle comprises a conduit arranged in the axis of the discharge mouth and a downstream part formed by a conduit in the form of a convergent, for lateral ejection of the water flow in the general form of a brush whose axis is substantially coincident with the axis of said diffuser, the nozzle of said ejection duct being located slightly upstream of the neck of the diffuser.
According to a variant, said nozzle comprises a conduit arranged in the axis of the discharge mouth and a nozzle consisting of an alignment of calibrated holes made directly in the wall of said conduit according to a generator of the latter.
The receptacle for particles and various debris is for example a removable bag or net or other removable perforated structure, dimensioned so as to retain elements larger than a determined size.
Instead of a valve, it is also possible to provide a timed cyclic operation valve directing the water flow, either towards the venturi diffuser, or directly towards the swimming pool. Such a device is remarkably effective. Indeed, in comparison with the device of US-A-5 238 585, the suction effect on the fluid circulating in said flexible hose is much more efficient, thanks to the particular arrangement of the junction between this hose and the nozzle and to the provision of a venturi-type diffuser immediately downstream of the nozzle of said nozzle. On the bottom of the swimming pool rests a suction cleaning brush 6, connected by a flexible floating pipe 7 to an appropriate nozzle of said recovery device 5 making it possible to create in the pipe 7 the suction necessary for entraining the waste to be evacuated , these being retained and stored in the filtration system with which the device 5 is fitted.

.This device comprises a water ejection nozzle 9 consisting of a cylindrical conduit 9a, disposed in the axis of the discharge mouth 4 and provided, for this purpose, with rapid assembly means, by a male end threaded 10 capable of engaging in a female threaded connection 11 sealed in the wall of the swimming pool basin 1 and constituting the discharge mouth 4.
Le tuyau 7 comporte par exemple un embout 13 emboîtable à force dans l'extrémité du conduit 12a.The major part of the nozzle 9 extends inside a diffuser 12 of the venturi type, comprising a cylindrical part 12a disposed substantially perpendicular to the axis of the conduit 9a and coaxially with the flow of water ejected through the conduit 9b. The walls of the duct 12a are at a sufficient distance from the duct 9a so that the passage section in this zone corresponds substantially to the internal section of the pipe 7 which is removably connected to the upstream end of the diffuser 12. The pipe 7 comprises for example a nozzle 13 which can be force-fitted into the end of the conduit 12a.
Le conduit 12a est prolongé, au droit du conduit 9b, par un venturi 12b dont le col 14 se situe à quelques millimètres en aval de l'ajutage du conduit 9b.The conduit 12a is extended, in line with the conduit 9b, by a venturi 12b whose neck 14 is located a few millimeters downstream of the nozzle of the conduit 9b.
Le col 14 (figure 5) présente une section aplatie similaire à la section de sortie du conduit 9b.The neck 14 (Figure 5) has a flattened section similar to the outlet section of the conduit 9b.

FIG. 3 also shows at 16 a relief valve mounted in the end of the conduit 9a opposite the mouth 4 and projecting outside the diffuser 12.
Le rôle du clapet 16 est d'évacuer automatiquement l'éventuel débit d'eau excédentaire délivré par la bouche 4, lequel est fonction de la puissance de la pompe 2.The role of the valve 16 is to automatically evacuate any excess water flow delivered by the mouth 4, which is a function of the power of the pump 2.
The valve 16 can be replaced by a valve with cyclic control by timing allowing the discharge flow rate from the mouth 4 to be oriented, either towards the nozzle of the conduit 9b, or towards the pool of the swimming pool 1.
The pressurized jet formed by the conduit 9b and directed towards the neck 14 and the divergent part of the venturi creates a strong suction drawing the water from the pipe 7 towards the divergent part of the diffuser 12 with a sufficient flow rate to operate the brush 6 and suck effectively the waste which will be kept prisoners of the receptacle 15.
La forme rectangulaire aplatie du conduit 9b et du venturi 14 permet d'améliorer le rendement hydraulique en augmentant (à débit de la pompe 2 constant) la surface de contact entre le jet moteur engendré par le conduit 9b et le liquide aspiré provenant du tuyau 7 et traversant le diffuseur 12.The flattened rectangular shape of the pipe 9b and the venturi 14 improves the hydraulic efficiency by increasing (at constant pump flow 2) the contact surface between the motor jet generated by the pipe 9b and the liquid sucked from the pipe 7 and passing through the diffuser 12.
The water leaving the receptacle is rid of its waste and feeds the basin, the overflow of which is taken up by the conventional system 5, which thus treats water which is already substantially decontaminated.
La figure 6 illustre une variante de réalisation de l'ajutage de l'éjecteur 9, selon laquelle le conduit 9b à convergent et section de sortie rectangulaire est remplacé par un ajutage constitué par un alignement de trous calibrésThe brush 6 works in the same way and is just as effective, whether it is connected to the suction device 5 or to the device 8 of the invention. FIG. 6 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the nozzle of the ejector 9, according to which the duct 9b with converging and rectangular outlet section is replaced by a nozzle constituted by an alignment of calibrated holes
In the embodiment shown in the drawings, the diffuser 12 is directed towards the bottom of the swimming pool, but it could have another orientation, as does the conduit 9a with respect to the wall of the swimming pool, insofar as the axis of the venturi diffuser 12 and the axis of the water flow leaving the ejector are substantially combined.
Thus the ejector 9 could be arranged coaxial with the delivery axis of the mouth 4, the diffuser 12 making a bend in the upstream part to be connected to the pipe 7.
Likewise, the shapes and dimensions of both the ejector assembly 9 and the diffuser assembly 12 can vary without departing from the scope of the invention.
The use of the device of the invention in no way detracts from the operation and the efficiency of the traditional circuit for sucking in surface water and recycling through the discharge mouth 4 via the pump 2 - filter 3 assembly.
