l Be it known that I, F. B. BATQIIELDER, of Prairie du Chien, in the county of Crawford, and State-of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Broom-Holder; and I do hereby declarethat the following is a full, cl'eunnnd exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art'to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawings, forming part of this specication.V
The object of this invention is to furnish a. cheap and convenient article for holding brooms, mops, brushes, and other articles `cfa similar nature, used for household or other purposes.
And the invention consists in combining 4two blocks or pieces of wood, metal, or other suitable material, which blocks are semicircular on their inner sides, so that, when placed'in'contact, the two form a divided block, having Aa conical or Baring orifice through it for the introduction of the handle of a.b1oorn,-b rush, or other article to whichit maybe adapted.

I claim as new, and desire to secure by -Letters Patent--` The blocks A B, each formed with a semicirc'ular recess in its inner face, and connected together by the spring D, all constructed and arranged to operate inthe manner and for the purpose substantially as set forth.
