Be it known that I, SAMUEL H. TIMMONS, of Lafayette, in the county of Tippecanoe, and State of indiana, have invented a new and useful Bottle Stopper and Medicine Gauge; and 'I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, ,suicientto enableone skilled in the art to which the i'nvention appertaa'ns to make use of it, referencey being had to the accompanying drawings whichform a part of this specication, and in which my invention is represented by a vertical section.

The improvelnent Vconsists of a hollow stopper, whose inside holds a certain quantity, or lhas graduations to indicate its capacity at different points; the stopper either slips into 'the'mouth of tliebottle, into which it isl ground, or it is slipped upon the neck of the bottle, forming a cap therefor;

In the drawing, A is the bottle, and B the stopper; the latter has a foot, '12.'

I claim a graduated 'bottle stopper, or one made with a definite capacity, by which aspeciiic dosemay be measured, and the stopper fitted either Within or around the neck.
