Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the effect of a motion artifact to the min., by processing the first filtered wave data corresponding to the pressure in a cuff and the second filtered wave data corresponding to the change in the vibration pressure in the cuff to display the max. and min. blood pressure values of a living body. CONSTITUTION:A pressure transducer 28 detects the pressure change in a cuff 14 and generates an output signal being a synthetic analogue voltage wave containing an absolute cuff pressure component and a pulse wave component. This analogue output signal is respectively inputted to an LPF 30 and an HPF 32 and respectively outputted as the cuff pressure signal SK corresponding to the absolute cuff pressure component and the pulse wave signal SM corresponding to the pulse wave component. The cuff signal SK and the pulse signal SM are supplied to a microprocessor 20 through amplifiers 33, 31 and an A/D converter 34 to be stored in a data memory apparatus 36 as cuff pressure data and pulse wave data and both data are processed according to the predetermined program stored in a program memory apparatus 38 to be displayed on a display apparatus 40.
