質、香料などである。(Prior Art) Lichens are symbionts made up of certain fungi and algae, and occupy a unique position botanically. When you observe a lichen under a microscope, you can see that its internal structure consists of a cortical layer (the outermost layer of the lichen that protects the lichen and is made up of hyphae that gather together and fuse with each other), an algal layer (the outermost layer of the lichen, and a tissue that protects the lichen. (a tissue in which hyphae surround and hold the algae that make up the lichen), medullary layer (a tissue in which hyphae are loosely intertwined and form the basis of the lichen), and pseudoroot (a tissue that protrudes from the lower cortex and is based on the lichen). It has extremely large structural characteristics. (However, in some cases, false roots do not arise from the lower cortex.) The so-called lichen components, which are the metabolic products of such lichen plants, are completely different from those of many higher and lower plants, and are chemically This is a very specific and limited sector. According to the conventional classification, lichen components include the following (Asahina and Shibata, "Chemistry of Lichen Components", Kawade Shobo, 1948): A. Aliphatic lichen component group 1, acids a, -bases. lactonic acid, B, tribasic acid, C tribasic acid Group 2: Neutral substances exhibiting Rie-Hermann reaction (zeolin compounds) Group 3: Polyhydric alcohols B, aromatic lichen component Group 1 2nd group of puruvic acid derivatives: Depsidones a, orthin compounds, b, orthin/betalutin mixed compounds, C, betaalutin compounds 3rd group: depsidones a, orthin compounds, b, betaalutin compounds 4th group: Quinones a, oxyanthraquinone derivatives, b, phenanthrene quinone derivatives Group 5: Xanthone derivatives Group 6: Diphenylene oxide derivatives Group 7: Nitrogen-containing compounds (diketopiveratine derivatives) More specifically, the following: Typical examples of lichen components include compounds such as: V, fatty acids, x, 1. Regarding the physiological significance of tetronic acid components in lichens, it is said that because the growth of lichens is slow, it serves as a defense against attack by microorganisms and from being eaten by small animals, and that unlike other fungi, they can be used in the sun. Because it grows in the sun, it is believed that it protects against ultraviolet rays. Therefore, lichen components have been used for purposes derived from these functions since ancient times. For example, dyes, antibiotics,
quality, fragrance, etc.

が可能である。(Operations and Effects of the Present Invention) While carrying out various studies on the effective production method of lichen and its components as well as the development of applications for human society, the inventors of the present invention discovered, by a completely chance opportunity, that lichen components were found on the skin. We have discovered that it has a beautifying effect on the skin. In other words, when applying lichen plant ingredients to the skin, it makes wrinkles less noticeable (wrinkle removal function), prevents rough skin (skin roughness prevention function), eliminates age spots and freckles (stain and freckles removal function), and improves the skin. It is recognized to have effects such as moisturizing (water-retaining function). In addition, it has been recognized to have effects such as preventing acne and pimples, smoothing the skin, whitening the skin, and imparting elasticity to the skin, giving the impression of rejuvenation in appearance. Therefore, by using lichen components as a component of cosmetics, it is possible to enhance the effects thereof.

It is thought that these two factors work together to produce this effect. Although the type and content of lichen components in lichen plants are not necessarily constant depending on their type, place of growth, growth stage, etc., any of the following lichen plants can usually be used for the purpose of the present invention: Teloscysteaceae, Centipede. As the lichen plant component, the plant itself may be used as it is, or it may be separated from the plant by an appropriate method. For example, if a plant is dried and then powdered, this can be mixed into a pack composition for use. Further, an extract obtained by extracting a plant body with water and/or a hydrophilic solvent (for example, methanol, ethanol) can be used by mixing it into a cream composition. Since the content of lichen components in the plant body is usually low, it is preferable to increase the content of lichen components like an extract and then add it.

The resulting aqueous extract was concentrated and dried to obtain an extract of 1.39. 1 g of this extract was dissolved in tI2 ion-exchanged water and used as a test solution. The right half of the subject's (A: 40-year-old female) face was wiped with absorbent cotton moistened with the test solution, and the left half of her face was wiped with absorbent cotton moistened with pure water every night. As a result, the large wrinkles on the right side of the face were found to be smaller, while the wrinkles on the left side of the face remained unchanged.
