Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of defects due to gas and soot of a casting in the stage of charging molten metal into flaskless longitudinally split casting molds, by putting a suction box communicating with a vacuum pump on the top surface of the casting molds, sucking the air from the inside of the casting molds and sucking the gas forcibly when the gas are generated in the molds.
