Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [P is an iron prophyrin complex having a porphyrin ring shown by the formula II, wherein iron (II) is coordinated in the center; X is H, 1W20C alkyl, or alkali metal; R is methyl or ethyl; n is 4W6]
USE: A gas absorbent. Useful for removing a very small amount of CO, NO, and O2 from a gas or useful as a cocatalyst in a catalytic reaction, etc.
PROCESS: Potassium phthalimide is reacted with an alkylene bromide and 2-methylimidazole successively to give a compound (AAMI) shown by the formula III. A compound shown by the formula IV (the circle sign is porphine; X' is alkyl) and triethylamine are dissolved in CH2Cl2, ethyl chloroformate is added to the solution at -10°C, and AAMI is added to the solution, or the compound show by the formula IV is dissolved in CH2Cl2, N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide is added to the solution at 0°C, and AAMI is added to the solution, so that the reaction is carried out to give a compound shown by the formula V, which is dissolved in DMF and reacted with FeCl2.nH2O in a gas flow under reflux to give a compound shown by the formula I.
