Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply an existing wire-glass production facility to produce a decorative glass plate by a method wherein two plate type glass ribbons are continuously formed and while they are hot metal pieces are inserted between the two ribbons.
CONSTITUTION: Molten glass 1 is fed from the lip tile 3 of the first canal's 2 edge and is rolled by the rolling rolls 4, 5 to be formed into the first glass ribbon 6. Onto the first ribbon 6, pieces of steel are scattered through the material feed tank 15 containing pieces of stainless steel.
