Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a cogging force, by providing a salient stator with auxiliary recesses and auxiliary salient poles to change magnetic components between a field system and an armature core.
CONSTITUTION: A field system 12 is provided on the inside of a rotor 11. Main salient poles 13a, 13b and auxiliary salient poles 14a, 14b are provided at a prescribed spacing inside the field system. These salient poles are provided with auxiliary recesses 17a∼17h at an equiangular spacing (30°). The auxiliary recesses are placed on an armature core so that the magnetically nonuniform components of the armature core do not coincide with the harmonic components of the field system 12. This results in reducing a cogging force.
