Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress heating of a motor by converting the energy supply to a step motor upon discrimination of a rotation instruction command to supply sufficient energy to the motor when the motor is rotating and to supply necessary sufficient retaining corresponding energy to the motor when the motor is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse is applied to a conductor 1 to allow a sequence circuit 2 to produce an excitation signal and to start a time limiter circuit 3 so as to always retain the conductor 4 at high level by the continuous clock pulses. A changeover switch 5 produces a voltage V1 at high level to a comparator 6, which compares the voltage V1 with a coil current detecting resistor voltage Va (the voltage of a resistor 10) to deenergize a driver 7 when Va>V1 and energize the driver 7 when Va<V1 to thus control the drive current. When the clock pulse is stopped for stopping the motor, the circuit 3 is stopped at the conductor 4 becomes low level, and the switch 5 is switched to V2 side (V1>V2), so that the drive current is reduced to retaining current level.
