Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the transmission time by identifying and deciding the binary and multi-value information regions via the picture signal of the ITV camera and the detection signal sent from the light pen to be transmitted and then received at the receiver side for decoding and reproduction.
CONSTITUTION: Data control circuit 29 identifies and decides the binary and multi- value information regions via the picture signal of ITV camera (a) and the detection signal from light pen (h). Based on this decision, control circuit 24 controls each circuit to transmit (b) a series of data. On the other hand, receiving device (d) receives the signal from device (b) and decodes the signal according to the information indicating the conversion process contents including the received signals and to reproduce the decoded signal via reproducer (e). In such way, both the binary and multi-value information can be transmitted in one transmission even in case the both information may coexist in the data of one picture frame, thus shortening the transmission time.
