Description of the Related Art Artificial lawns in which a synthetic resin yarn such as nylon or polypropylene is planted as a base fabric are widely used as a surface material for various sports fields. Even if such an artificial lawn is used for a long period of time, it does not impair the cushioning characteristics, the rolling performance of the ball does not change with time, the athlete does not get scratched even if it falls, etc. Although there is an advantage, when sliding, it may cause burns due to friction with the surface yarn. Therefore, in recent artificial lawns, so-called sand-containing artificial lawns in which a large number of fillers such as sand having a fine particle diameter are filled in the grass are widely used. This sand-containing artificial lawn has advantages that it can prevent burns caused by the yarn when sliding, and that the layer of the filler changes to a plate-like shape when the athlete lands and has a surface cushioning effect. However, the artificial grass with sand has a drawback that the filler exposed on the surface when the athlete slides easily causes scratches. Also, the layer of filler may harden over time, and this hardened layer of filler may trap and lock the athlete's spikes. Therefore, an artificial grass is used instead of an artificial lawn for the part where the player slides in.

Then, the pitcher mound 10 around the pitcher plate 9 is covered with antoka or soil to ensure safety when the player slides in and to easily twist the foot when the pitcher pitches. The peripheral parts 5 to 8 and the parts except the pitcher mound 10 are covered with a sand-containing artificial grass 11. Artificial grass 11 is home base 1
As shown in FIG. 4 which illustrates the peripheral portion 5 of the above, the upper surface is laid on a base 12 made of asphalt concrete or concrete having a substantially smooth surface with a cushioning material 13 such as rubber interposed therebetween. . The artificial lawn 11 is made of a synthetic resin yarn such as nylon or polypropylene planted on a backing base cloth 14, and the grass is filled with a large number of fillers 15 of fine particles such as sand. A curb 16 is arranged at the boundary between the peripheral portion 5 and the artificial lawn 11, and the peripheral edge portion of the artificial lawn 11 is hung on the side surface of the curb 16 on the side of the home base 1 to provide an anchor or a soil that constitutes the peripheral portion 5. I try to hold it down with.

Not only did the artificial lawn 11 be brought out to the side, but the artificial lawn 11 was spoiled, and the softness of the original artificial lawn was impaired by the penetration of antuca and soil into the grass. Therefore, it is not only necessary to frequently perform maintenance to remove antuca and soil from the grass, but also daily routines such as roller compaction, water sprinkling, and leveling are required. Furthermore, covering each of the base peripheral parts 5 to 8 and the pitcher mound 10 with an antoka or soil is an extremely different part from the artificial grass 11 on the stadium, for example, soccer, rugby, hockey or American football. Cannot be used as is. Therefore, prepare an artificial lawn for these parts separately, and cover the surrounding area of each base and the pitcher mound with the artificial lawn for the cover when playing a game other than this baseball, and finish the entire ground with the appearance of an artificial lawn. However, there is a drawback that it is not easy to switch depending on the competition event.

Since the artificial lawn made by is laid, sliding can be done easily and the pitcher's axial foot can be moved smoothly. In addition, when a game other than baseball is played, the game can be immediately entered.

Peripheral portions 5 of each base on a base 12 constituted by a water-permeable structure laid with cobblestone or crushed rock or a water-impermeable structure such as concrete or asphalt. The whole ground except 8 and pitcher mound 10 is made by foaming rubber chips, urethane or polyethylene on site construction,
Cushioning material 13 formed by laying flat plate-shaped molded products
Is covered with. On this cushioning material 13, a number of flat straight-hair split yarns or monofilament yarns made of synthetic resin such as polypropylene or vinylidene chloride are planted on the backing base cloth 14 by tufting or the like. The lawn 21 is laid. The grass of the artificial lawn 21 is filled with a relatively hard filler 15 such as sand having a small particle size, silica sand, and ceramics. That is,
It is constructed in the same way as a conventional stadium made of artificial grass with sand. 5-8 peripheral parts of each base and 10 pitcher mounds
Is, for example, as shown in the peripheral portion 5 of the home base 1,
The artificial lawn 22 on the cushioning material 13 has a friction resistance smaller than that of the yarn of the artificial lawn 21. For example, a loft sliding resistance polyolefin yarn commercially available under the trade name "Thiolon LSR" from Titisee Polyolefins BV of the Netherlands is used as a backing base. A large number of cloth 14 is planted. On the other hand, inside the grass of this artificial lawn 22, the lower layer is filled with the above-described filler 15, and the upper layer is filled with the elastic granular material 23 made of rubber or elastic synthetic resin. In this case, it is preferable that the elastic granular material 23 has a round particle shape.

Since the object 23 is filled, the spikes of the athlete are not locked by the filling material 23 due to the sliding, the sliding property is improved, and there is no fear of burns or abrasion due to sand, so that the sliding can be performed at ease. In addition, since each of the base peripheral parts 5 to 8 and the pitcher mound 10 are also covered with the artificial lawn 22, when switching from a game such as baseball or softball to a game such as soccer or rugby, they are immediately processed without any processing. Can play. Although the filling material of the artificial lawn 22 has a two-layer structure of a layer of the filling material 15 and a layer of the elastic granular material 23, it may be constituted by only the filling material 15 or only the elastic granular material 23. Alternatively, a mixture of the filler 15 and the elastic granular material 23 may be filled.

It is designed to prevent runoff and make it more slippery. That is, the base 12 of the base peripheral part 5 is made lower than the base 12 of the other parts, and the artificial grass 2 is inserted there through the cushioning material 24.
An artificial lawn 25 having a higher grass height than that of No. 1 is laid. As shown in the figure, the cushioning material 24 is provided with a number of recesses 26 on the lower surface facing the upper surface of the base 12 to make it softer than the cushioning material 13 below the artificial lawn 21. The artificial lawn 25 is made of the same yarn as the artificial lawn 22, and the stuffing method,
The length of the turf is secured by crimping by the air jet method or the shaping method such as compression or heat gear.
The artificial grass 25 is filled with a mixture of the filler 15 and the elastic granular material 23 as grain sand.

Since it is made of a mixture with the rubber and the elastic granular material 23, the contact is soft and it is possible to prevent not only burns but also scratches. Further, the cushioning material 24 has a large number of recesses 26.
Are provided to make the cushioning material 13 softer than the lower part of the artificial lawn 21, thereby increasing the safety during sliding. Furthermore, since the grass length of the artificial lawn 25 is made longer than that of the artificial lawn 21, even if the athlete slides around the base peripheral portion 5, the yarn is filled with the filler material 1.
5 and the elastic particles 23 can be held to prevent them from being washed away. Further, since the yarn is crimped, the holding property of the filler 15 and the elastic particles 23 is improved, and the filler 15 and the elastic particles 2 by sliding are improved.
We are making sure to prevent the loss of water.

Further, the shape of the cushioning material 24 is not essential, and the cushioning material 13 may be interposed below the artificial grass 25. Of course, this cushioning material 24 may be interposed below the artificial grass 22 of the first embodiment.

Whereas the artificial lawn of was 10.2 ℃,
The artificial lawn of polyolefin yarn showed a temperature as low as 1.3 ° C. From this result, it was found that the artificial lawn made of polyolefin yarn is unlikely to be burned even when sliding. Next, two artificial lawns of nylon yarns having the same pile density were prepared, one of which was filled with sand and the other of which was left without sand, and the surface temperature was measured by the burn evaluation tester described above. As a result, 1.1 ° C with sand
However, without sand, the temperature was as high as 2.7 ° C. From these two experiments, it was found that the friction heat can be kept low and the possibility of burns can be reduced by constructing an artificial lawn with yarns of low sliding resistance and by adding sand.

In the test, the load was 3 kg, and a nylon trunks fabric was used for the test piece. As a result, it was as high as 0.51 in the case of only the rubber elastic particles and 0.59 in the case of only the sand, which revealed that the sliding property was also excellent. Also. After a sliding experience by a soccer player and a sensory evaluation of the sense of security against scratches, it was evaluated that the rubber elastic granules alone would be reassuring, but the sand alone would cause anxiety.

However, even in the case of the sandless artificial lawn, the artificial lawn at the place where sliding is performed is composed of yarn that is slippery than the artificial lawns of other parts. By doing so, the same effect can be obtained. In addition, as another means for making it slippery, by making the tuft density of the artificial grass of that portion smaller than that of the artificial grass of other portions, the movement can be facilitated and the frictional resistance can be reduced.

Since the part to be broken is made of yarn that has less frictional resistance than the artificial grass of the other part, sliding can be done easily and the pitcher's axial foot can be moved smoothly. Further, as compared with the case where these parts are made into an antuka or soil as in the conventional case, it is possible to switch to a game such as soccer or rugby without any action.
