血圧を測定する際、カフは対象となる指基部の全
周を十分に圧迫できなければならない。このため
、圧迫用カフは指に対してその周囲を覆うことに
なるが、指の太さに応じて確実な圧迫を行えるた
めには十分な容量を有していなければならない。
しかし一方、カフの圧迫に伴なう指の微妙な容積
変化を圧力変化として安定検出するには、空気の
圧縮性を考慮するとカフ容量が大きすぎることは
不利になる。このため、容積変化の安定した圧迫
用のカフと圧検出のカフを分離したことで、十分
な圧迫と容積変化の安定した検出が同時に行える
ようにした。 2 指で血圧を測定する場合、指基部の血圧が上
腕部測定に最も近い値を示す。従つてカフは確実
に基部に装着されなければならない。従来の方式
では測定者が自ら指を十分にカフに挿入すること
が要求されていたが、本器具では装置の自重が手
のひらに重心的にバランス良く自然に収まる形状
になつている。そのため、本器具を測定者が手の
ひらに乗せるとカフ部が自然に指基部に密着し、
そのままの位置で血圧値データの読み取りができ
るため動により発生する静水圧の誤差も生じにく

When measuring blood pressure with a finger, the blood pressure at the base of the finger shows the closest value to that measured at the upper arm. Therefore, the cuff must be securely attached to the base. The conventional method required the person taking the measurement to fully insert their finger into the cuff, but this device has a shape that allows the weight of the device to fit naturally in the palm of the hand with a well-balanced center of gravity. Therefore, when the measurer places this device on the palm of his/her hand, the cuff naturally comes into close contact with the base of the finger.
Since blood pressure value data can be read in the same position, the shape is such that errors in hydrostatic pressure caused by movement are less likely to occur.
