Description
はじめに、本実施の形態に係る光学ユニットの基本構成や基本動作について参考例に基づいて説明する。図1は、参考例に係る車両用前照灯の水平断面図である。車両用前照灯10は、自動車の前端部の右側に搭載される右側前照灯であり、左側に搭載される前照灯と左右対称である以外は同じ構造である。そのため、以下では、右側の車両用前照灯10について詳述し、左側の車両用前照灯については説明を省略する。
上述の参考例の光学ユニットのように、一つの光源でハイビーム用配光パターンを形成することは可能である。しかしながら、より明るい照射パターンを必要とする場合や、低コスト化のために低光度のLEDを用いる場合も考えられる。そこで、本実施の形態では、光源を複数備えた光学ユニットについて説明する。
図12は、第2の実施の形態に係る光学ユニットを含む構成を模式的に示した上面図である。
第3の実施の形態では、回転リフレクタとそれを駆動するモータとの位置決めについて説明する。上述のように、回転リフレクタ26を用いて光源像を走査することで配光パターンを形成する光学系においては、光源の点消灯と回転リフレクタ26の反射ミラーであるブレード26aの回転とのタイミングを同期させる必要がある。そのためには、モータの回転に応じたパルス信号が出るモータの回転位置と、ブレード26aの位置関係が既知である必要がある。モータとしてはDCブラシレスモータやブラシ付DCモータが挙げられる。
Claims (3)
- 第1の照射ビームを出射する第1の光源と、
第2の照射ビームを出射する第2の光源と、
前記第1の照射ビームを走査することで第1の照射パターンを形成し、前記第2の照射ビームを走査することで第2の照射パターンを形成し、前記第1の照射パターンと前記第2の照射パターンとを重ねることで配光パターンを形成する走査部と、
前記第1の光源の発光光度および第2の光源の発光光度を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記第1の照射パターンの一部に第1の遮光部を形成し、前記第2の照射パターンの一部に、前記第1の遮光部と重なるように第2の遮光部を形成し、前記第1の遮光部の範囲と前記第2の遮光部の範囲とがずれるように、前記第1の光源の発光光度を変化させるタイミングおよび前記第2の光源の発光光度を変化させるタイミングを制御し、
前記制御部は、前記第1の遮光部の範囲と前記第2の遮光部の範囲とのずれが相対的に大きな第1遮光モードと、前記第1の遮光部の範囲と前記第2の遮光部の範囲とのずれが相対的に小さな第2遮光モードと、を実行可能に構成されている、
ことを特徴とする光学ユニット。 - 前記制御部は、自車両の走行状況または自車両の前方の状態に応じて、前記第1遮光モードまたは前記第2遮光モードを実行可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光学ユニット。
- 第1の照射ビームを出射する第1の光源と、
第2の照射ビームを出射する第2の光源と、
前記第1の照射ビームを走査することで第1の照射パターンを形成し、前記第2の照射ビームを走査することで第2の照射パターンを形成し、前記第1の照射パターンと前記第2の照射パターンとを重ねることで配光パターンを形成する走査部と、
前記第1の光源の発光光度および第2の光源の発光光度を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記第1の照射パターンの一部に第1の遮光部を形成し、前記第2の照射パターンの一部に、前記第1の遮光部と重なるように第2の遮光部を形成し、前記第1の遮光部の範囲と前記第2の遮光部の範囲とがずれるように、前記第1の光源の発光光度を変化させるタイミングおよび前記第2の光源の発光光度を変化させるタイミングを制御し、
前記走査部は、前記第1の光源および前記第2の光源から出射した光を反射しながら回転軸を中心に一方向に回転する回転リフレクタを有することを特徴とする光学ユニット。
