4.弁部材と当接して槽体内の排水の流出を防止する止水面は、槽体とは別の部材として提供されるため、特許文献2のような、浴槽の成型に特に高い精度が求められる、という事もない。また、槽体への後加工についても、例えば単に丸い開口(槽体排水口)と槽体排水口下面の周縁を平坦且つ水平に形成するだけで済み、槽体排水口内部に凹凸などを設ける必要がない(凹凸が必要な場合は排水栓本体に設ければ良い)。このため、特許文献2に記載の発明と比べ、垂下部や排水口部分の形状の自由度、加工の容易さが飛躍的に高まった。また、加工が容易になったことで、槽体の成型に失敗して浴槽が丸ごと無駄になる、といった問題の発生もほとんど無くなった。
また、排水栓本体など槽体以外の細かな部材は、樹脂成形によって、初めから高い精度で複雑な形状を形成できる。このため、後加工など無くても、槽体排水口に極めて高い精度で正円や同心円、細やかな凹凸を、容易に設けることができるようになった。
5.弁部材と排水栓本体は、槽体と比較して部材の大きさがそれほど変わらないため、通常同じメーカーで製造される。このように、弁部材と止水面を備えた排水栓本体が、同じメーカーにより製造されるため、弁部材と止水面との合いの品質管理、即ち止水性能の品質管理が特許文献2に記載の従来例と比較して極めて容易になった。
請求項2に記載の発明では、接続部材を介して施工を行うことで、接続部材に排水栓本体と簡易且つ確実に接続できるような機構・構造を組み込んでおき、この接続部材を事前に工場などで槽体に取り付けておき、現場では排水栓本体と接続部材を簡易に接続するだけで施工が完了するようにできる。
また、排水栓本体の側面に排出口など突出する構成が設けられている場合、ビス部材などで槽体と排水栓本体を接続しようとしても、この側面に突出した部分が障害となってビス部材が取り付けられない場合がある。このような場合、上記のように接続部材に排水栓本体と簡易且つ確実に接続できるような機構・構造を組み込んでおき、槽体と接続部材とをビス部材で行い、その後接続部材と排水栓本体との接続を接続するようにすれば、排水栓本体に側面方向の突出部分があっても水密において信頼性の高い槽体と排水栓本体との接続を行うことができる。

槽体の近傍に設けられた操作部取付孔7と、
操作部取付孔7に槽体の裏側から取り付けられる、弁部材6の動作を操作する操作部本体8と、
操作部に加えられた操作を弁部材6に伝達する、一端が操作部本体8に対して、他端が排水栓本体4に対して、それぞれ接続固定されたレリースワイヤ9と、
