Description
図1は第1の実施の形態に係る二次電池の断面構造を表すものである。この二次電池は、電極反応物質としてリチウム(Li)を用い、負極の容量が、リチウムの吸蔵および放出による容量成分により表されるいわゆるリチウムイオン二次電池である。この二次電池は、いわゆる円筒型といわれるものであり、ほぼ中空円柱状の電池缶11の内部に、一対の帯状の正極21と帯状の負極22とがセパレータ23を介して巻回された巻回電極体20を有している。電池缶11は、例えばニッケル(Ni)のめっきがされた鉄(Fe)により構成されており、一端部が閉鎖され他端部が開放されている。電池缶11の内部には、巻回電極体20を挟むように巻回周面に対して垂直に一対の絶縁板12,13がそれぞれ配置されている。

本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る二次電池は、負極の容量が電極反応物質であるリチウムの析出および溶解による容量成分により表される、いわゆるリチウム金属二次電池である。
本発明の第3の実施の形態に係る二次電池は、負極の容量が電極反応物質であるリチウムの吸蔵および放出による容量成分と、リチウムの析出および溶解による容量成分とを含み、かつその和により表されるものである。
図3は、本発明の第4の実施の形態に係る二次電池の構成を表すものである。この二次電池は、正極リード31および負極リード32が取り付けられた巻回電極体30をフィルム状の外装部材40の内部に収容したものであり、小型化,軽量化および薄型化が可能となっている。
負極22の容量が、リチウムの吸蔵および放出による容量成分により表される電池、すなわちリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。その際、電池は、図1に示したものとした。
Claims (5)
- 正極と負極とがセパレータを介して対向配置され、
一対の正極および負極当たりの完全充電状態における開回路電圧が4.25V以上6.00V以下の範囲内であり、
前記セパレータは、ポリオレフィン多孔質膜よりなる基材層と、この基材層の正極側の表面の少なくとも一部にコートされ、ポリフッ化ビニリデン,ポリテトラフルオロエチレン,ポリプロピレンおよびアラミドのうちの少なくとも1種よりなる表面層とを有し、
前記表面層の厚さは、0.1μm以上10μm以下の範囲内であり、前記セパレータの厚さは5μm以上25μm以下の範囲内である、
二次電池。 - 前記基材層は、ポリエチレンおよびポリプロピレンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む、請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記負極は、炭素材料を含み、その炭素材料は、黒鉛,易黒鉛化性炭素および難黒鉛化性炭素のうちの少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記セパレータの透気度は厚さ20μmに換算した値で200秒/100cm3 以上600秒/100cm3 以下の範囲内、空孔率は30%以上60%以下の範囲内、突き刺し強度は厚さ20μmに換算した値で0.020N/cm2 以上0.061N/cm2 以下の範囲内である、
