Description
本願は、2003年5月8日に出願された米国特許出願第10/434,009号の一部継続出願であり、2002年6月27日に出願された米国仮特許出願第60/392,671号及び2003年1月16日に出願された米国仮特許出願第60/440,513号に対して優先権を請求する。上記の参照した出願内容は、参照することによってあたかも詳細に記載されているよう本願に組み込まれる。
本発明は、薬物、化学物質及びトナーなどの乾燥粉末物質の分配に関しており、用量調整された医薬品に対して特に好適である。

Claims (11)
- 少なくとも1つの分注ポートと、前記分注ポートに至る乾燥粉末用流路とを有するホッパを用い、前記分注ポートを通じて、前記ホッパに収容された前記乾燥粉末を流動可能に分注する方法であって、
前記乾燥粉末の調合物に応じて予め選定された複数の異なる変調周波数により変調された搬送周波数を含む非線形の振動入力信号を発生するステップと、
前記乾燥粉末が通過して流れる間に、前記非線形の振動入力信号を振動エネルギーに変換して前記ホッパに印加するステップと、
前記乾燥粉末の計量された量を、前記分注ポートを通して受取り部材に分注するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記複数の異なる変調周波数が、前記乾燥粉末の所定の流動特性の周波数に対応して選定され、かつ前記発生ステップは、前記印加および分注ステップにおいて、前記乾燥粉末が凝集することなくほぼ均一で流動的な方法で流れるようにするために実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記非線形の振動入力信号が、前記乾燥粉末の調合物に対する質量流量解析で検出されるアバランシェ間の時間の観察された周波数の評価から得られたものである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記印加ステップが、前記予め選定された複数の異なる変調周波数の振動入力信号を振動エネルギーに変換して同時に印加するように実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記振動エネルギーが、前記非線形の振動入力信号を、前記ホッパまたは前記乾燥粉末を電気−機械的な刺激によって発生される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記非線形の振動入力信号“xsignal ”は、数式:
xsignal = xf2 + xf3 + xf4 +… xfn
[式中、f2、f3、f4、…、fnは、それぞれ、乾燥粉末のアバランシェに基づく解析スペクトルで多く観察される上位の周波数に相当し、f2、f3、f4、…、fnと共に使用されるパラメーター“x”は、観察された各周波数の振幅重み付けを表す変数である]から得られる、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記の重み付けされた積算周波数成分1つ以上が、数学的位相調整で増幅されている、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記乾燥粉末のアバランシェに基づく解析スペクトルで多く観察される上位の周波数を、前記f2、f3、f4 の上位3つまでとする、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 乾燥粉末を分注するシステムであって、
少なくとも1つの分注ポートと内面及び外面を有する壁とを備え、中に乾燥粉末を収容できるように構成されたホッパと、
前記ホッパと動作可能に結合され、前記乾燥粉末の調合物に応じて選定された複数の異なる変調周波数により変調された搬送周波数を含む非線形の振動入力信号を発生し、振動エネルギーに変換して出力するように構成された少なくとも1つの振動エネルギー発生器と、
前記ホッパ及び前記振動エネルギー発生器を制御するための制御装置であって、前記乾燥粉末が前記分注ポートに向かって下向きに流れる間に、前記振動エネルギー発生器に、前記非線形振動エネルギーを出力させるような制御装置と、
を含む、システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの振動エネルギー発生器は、前記非線形振動エネルギーとは異なる第2の非線形振動エネルギーをも出力できるように構成され、前記制御装置は、前記乾燥粉末が流れる間に、前記振動エネルギー発生器に、前記いずれかの非線形振動エネルギーを出力させるように構成されている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記制御装置と連動する検出システムをさらに含み、前記検出システムは、用量分注に関連するパラメーターを検出して、電子調整用のフィードバックデーターを提供するように構成されている、請求項9または10に記載のシステム。
