セロラ(Acerola,学名Malpighia glabra L.)の果実よ
り抽出したエキスを含む化粧品に関する。本エキスは天
然のL−アスコルビン酸を他の果実エキスよりも多量に
含むことが大きな特徴である。

出液はレモンエキス、リンゴエキス等いくつか知られて
いるが、L−アスコルビン酸濃度を0.1%以上含有して
いる物は殆ど見られない。また、エキス抽出の操作過程
で一部分解、減少するのが常である。あるいは濃縮によ
って高L−アスコルビン酸含有のものを得ようとする
と、更に分解が進むほか、共存する成分も高濃度となっ
てメイラード反応等の化学変化が加わり、黒褐色になる
という欠点があった。

れない程多く、安定性にも優れている。

る場合にも、この果実の持つL−アスコルビン酸を安定
化させている成分構成を出来るだけ活かす形にする抽出
方法が必要である。以下に、抽出方法を2〜3の例をも
って述べる。

にて浸漬抽出する。次に、この懸濁液を過、デカンテ
ーション等により、清澄化し、孔径0.22μmのメンブレ
ンフィルターにて過後、無菌充填を行う。このエキス
は、使用する溶媒を変えることにより、目的に応じたも
のを選ぶことが出来る。

る。本エキスを配合した化粧品は、L−アスコルビン酸
の持つ、チロシナーゼ活性阻害作用による美白効果、皮
膚及び毛細血管の活性化が得られる。また、本エキス中
のアミノ酸、有機酸、糖、ペクチンによる保湿効果及び
収斂効果が得られ、さらに本品の持つ芳香性を利用する
ことができる。
