Abstract
977,913. Protective arrangements. R. J. REDDING. March 19, 1963 [March 20, 1962], No. 10717/62. Heading H2H. [Also in Division G3] A circuit arrangement wherein means are provided so as to limit the power transmitted therethrough to an intrinsically safe value comprises two Zener diodes Z1, Z2 connected in serially opposed relationship between the two lines 11, 12 of the circuit, each of the lines having a current limiting resistor R1, R2 connected in series therewith. Fuses F1, F2 may also be connected in each line and the connection between the two Zener diodes may be earthed. Additionally, two opposed Zener diodes may be connected between the connection between the Zener diodes Z1, Z2 and earth.
