Abstract
910,346. Automatic circuit-breakers. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. May 24, 1961, No. 18782/61. Class 38 (5). A circuit-breaker having thermal and electromagnetic tripping means has at least part of its tripping mechanism mounted between two walls spaced apart by a plate which has a plurality of pliable lugs which serve as back stops for the electromagnet armature and the trip latch. As shown, the two walls 1, 2 on a base 3 are spaced apart by a plate 6 and engage recesses 13 therein. A pliable lug 8 acts as an adjustable back stop for a pivoted armature 16 controlled by a trip coil 22 and biased by a spring 21, the tension of which is adjustable by bending a lug 11 of the plate 6 to which it is attached. A pliable lug 9 acts as an adjustable back stop for a pivoted latch 17 which can be moved by the armature 16 or by the thermal device 18 to trip the circuit-breaker. A lug 7 on the plate 6 receives one end of a spring 12 which biases on operating lever (not shown), pivoted on a spindle 4 carried by the walls 1, 2. A lug 10 limits the movement of the latch 17.
