862,468. De-stapling pliers. BALMA, G., and CAPODURI, G., [trading as BALMA, CAPODURI & C.]. March 16, 1959 [April 17, 1958], No. 8973/59. Class 61. A plier-like device for removing staples has pivoted arms 10 and 11 at the end of one of which is a triangular tapered tongue-like projection 16 which projects towards a substantially straight edge 18 on the abutting end of the other arm to which the tongue 16 is adjacent when the jaws of the tool are closed ; the edge 18 being of a length which does not exceed that of the main portion 19 between the upturned legs of a preselected staple. The edge 18 has two notches 20 whose distance apart corresponds to the length of the main portion of a smaller staple. The components 16 and 18 are rivetted to the arms.
