Abstract

786,282. Stoppers. CONTAINERS & CLOSURES, Ltd. Dec. 23, 1955 [Jan. 6,1955; June 21, 1955], Nos. 370/55 and 17840/55. Class 125(3). A screw cap 10 with integral projection 103 has mounted thereon a sealing washer 13 of polyethylene which is a tight fit at the lower end but the portion 132 flares upwardly and outwardly to have internal diameter greater than the external diameter of projection 103 and the upper section 133 seats on the bottle mouth. In a modification, Fig. 11, a screw plug stopper 14 carries on its neck 141 a similar seal. In another modification the lower end of the washer 13 is closed.
