Class 110(iii) A gas turbine rotor blade is formed so that the working surface comprises two plane surfaces inclined to each other at an angle of between 129 and 156 degrees, and the entry portion of the blade is relatively short, for example about one quarter the length of the discharge portion. The entry portion may be disposed parallel to the rotor axis, and the guide vanes may be similarly formed. The rearward surface of the blade is either of convex shape or formed of two plane surfaces. Specification 608,465 is referred to.
