Abstract

648,243. Seats. SEBEL, H. Jan. 28, 1946, No. 2793. [Class 52 (ii)] A stackable chair has a one piece seat and back rest 12 of semi-stiff material secured by its upper and lower ends only to a tubular metal frame preferably consisting of two inverted U-shaped members which form front legs 6 and a back frame 1, and rear legs 3 and a seat frame 2, the frames being welded or detachably joined at the crossing points by a junction piece 5. The frame members may be provided with lugs 8, welded thereto, to which the seat and back rest 12 is secured by means of screws or the seat and back rest portion 12 may be provided with extensions having hooked ends which engage with the tubular frame.
