Abstract

624,999. Spray-burners. HODGKINSON (SALFORD), Ltd., J., and FELSNER, O. July 24, 1947, No. 19833. [Class 75 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A spray nozzle for viscous liquids has a nozzle member D held within a cap C by a screwed disc E. The cap C is screwed to a member B which is secured to a liquid feed tube A. The liquid is forced by pressure from the tube A through four peripheral grooves e in the disc E to an annular space C<SP>4</SP>. Passing into the conical whirl chamber d<SP>1</SP> through four tangential passages d<SP>4</SP> between the nozzle member D and disc E, the liquid is finally emitted through an outlet d<SP>3</SP>. The nozzle may be used for spraying fuel.
