Abstract

[Class 38 (v)] To increase their radiating surface, bridging contacts 9 are formed integral with the guide members 6, 7, and fingers 10, which engage operating cams 2, 3 at different levels. This integral member has the general shape of a cross, one arm 9 forming the bridge and the blades 11, 13 of the other arm being bent in opposite directions, at right-angles to the plane of the bridge, and turned down at the edges to form the guides 6, 7, and the finger 10. The fixed contacts A, B, are seated in recesses in the insulating base, and each stage is closed by the succeeding stage placed thereon. An operating shaft 1 passes through all the stages and carries the cams 2, 3.
